Hi everyone, hope, you are having nice week so far. You may noticed, I mostly use high-end skincare and makeup products. The reason for that is that I have dry and sensitive skin, that can get irritate very easy and most of the drugstore beauty brands don't work for my skin. But other day, I was getting my L'oreal haircare products, when L'oreal makeup products caught my attention, and I decided to get this L'oreal paris True Match Super-Blendable powder.
So, this is a full-coverage very blendable pressed powder that completely covers my skin imperfection as long as I apply my regular moisturizer. The color range of this L'oreal True Match Super-Blendable powder is absolutely incredible __ it comes in 24 different shades, which is a big plus, when you are looking for some certain shade.
Since, this is a full-coverage powder, I don't need any foundation, I just moisturize my face and then, apply this L'oreal True Match powder , along with some blush and my skin looks flawless. It's so noticeable that even my mom noticed while we were talking on Skype, that my makeup looked much better.

What I like about this L'oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable powder:
It's very blendable, has great coverage, color matches perfectly and it's not expensive, and the most important thing__ it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.
It's very blendable, has great coverage, color matches perfectly and it's not expensive, and the most important thing__ it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.
Lasting time is not so great though __ only 5 - 6 hours. But for the price, even 6 hours is great, I believe.
My advice for those of you who will decide to give this L'oreal powder a try:
Don't buy it if you want some powder for touch-ups, or on top of your liquid foundation, because this is powder will be too 'heavy' for that purpose.
Don't apply this L'oreal powder without moisturizing your skin first, unless you have very oily skin.
Don't use this powder when you are on long trip because as I mentioned above, its lasting time is only few hours and since this is a full coverage powder, it's not desirable to re-apply it, later.
oh, and some funny thing happened to me about the packaging. As you see, this powder has 2 compartments. The sponge is in a different compartment at the bottom , but I didn't noticed it at first, so I bought 2 sponges separately. and then, my little daughter found the compartment at the bottom of the powder__ she was so happy that she found the sponge inside and I was so ashamed that I couldn't figure it out by myself, LoL
Have you tried this L'oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable powder? Let me know in the comments below, and have a lovely day.

I've used the True Match foundation by L'Oreal many years ago but changed to high end products while getting older. Sounds like I should give the True Match series another try! ;) Thanks for the intersting review, Nina!

That is so cute your daughter found the second compartment. I love the Q&A style review. X

So I understand that this powder is really a coverage itself, not good for touch ups and over the foundation. Well, that is good, cause I like natural things, not coverage like cement - foundation and powder. I try to wear just powder, so I guess I will like this product!

Hope, you will like it, Denise.
DeleteBeautiful review, I know the product but haven't tried it yet. How cute that your daughter found the second compartment.

I have heard about powder foundation but never tried one myself as I've stuck to liquid foundations all these years. Definitely will look out for this, Nina. And kids are smarter than us these days so no surprise that your little one found the sponge hiding. LOL!

You are absolutely right Shireen, kids are seriously, smarter than us, I often notice that LoL
DeleteThanks for sharing your review. I mainly use liquid foundation. Never thought of using a powder. I'll give this a try.

ReplyDeleteSometimes drugstore brands can be as good or better than high end ones! I'm always looking for a nice foundation, I don't wear too much makeup, but good skin is always important to me, and it's great that this one absorbs oil!

Yeah I am the same way, I don't do drug store brands too much, there are a couple of things I like Clump Crusher and Neutrogina cream. But I have been thinking of trying Loreal's nude shadows.

I haven't tried it myself, but it's great that it works for you, even if it doesn't last as long as some other brands :)

ReplyDeleteA very interesting review. I used to use powder though moved to liquid and I'm still undecided as to whether that was a good decision or not haha. Lovely images, by the way! :)

I don't think I've seen this in the UK or maybe I've just never noticed it, however I don't think it would suit my dehydrated skin plus I don't like anything that feels too heavy on the skin. How cute that your daughter found the 'secret' compartment x
