How are you all? Hope you are doing great. I finally found time to update my blog after almost 3 weeks, and I'm very excited about it. While I was busy moving in, I also renew my makeup routine and add some amazing products to it, and obviously, you will see my reviews in upcoming posts. Today let me show you this Chanel POUDRE UNIVERSELLE COMPACTE Natural Finish Pressed powder.
Chanel POUDRE UNIVERSELLE COMPACTE Natural Finish powder |
Let's first see what the label says:
"Chanel POUDRE UNIVERSELLE COMPACTE Natural Finish powder imparts a translucent, super-natural finish when applied over makeup in the morning or as an anytime touch-up. Ultrafine lightweight formula with light-reflecting pigments and luxuriously soft feel creates a flattering look."
This is probably the lightest and silkiest pressed powder I've ever bought. Just like the label claims, this is a really ultrafine formula that has luxurious soft feel when apply it. It's almost invisible, that is in one way great because it creates absolutely natiral finish but at the same time, you feel like you need more and more, so you end up using way too much product, that is actually wasting the product and your money.
The reason I chose this Chanel POUDRE UNIVERSELLE Natural Finish powder was that after I finished my Yves Saint Laurent pressed powder, I needed a new lightweight powder to use over my liquid foundation and also, for touch-ups. I was hoping, I could even use it by its own in those lazy days when you don't feel like wearing complete makeup, especially in summer but while this Chanel powder impressed me with its natural and flawless finish when I applied it over my liquid foundation, it didn't give my any coverage to use it by itself. Another thing is that this Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte powder doesn't have oil-control, because my T-zone becomes oily after 3-4 hours.
The best part about this powder it that when I apply it under my eyes, over the concealer, it almost makes the fine lines invisible, for that reason, I absolutely love this powder.
So, yes, this an amazing powder for touchups and when applied over the foundation, it gives me absolutely flawless silky, natural finish, the only downside is that it can't control oil in T-zone.
If you are looking for something ultralight, then this formula may be for you, but don't buy thie powder if you need a full coverage because you will be disappointed.
Have you used this Chanel powder. Let me know in the comments below and have a fabulous day.
Looks like this powder is really nice. I also love lightweighted powder.

It's difficult to get a full coverage from a mere powder. Unfortunately it doesn't offer much oil control too :(

I guess that 3-4 hours are better than nothing, but of course we all want products that can control T-zones better. I liked that it has a natural finish. Hope you are settled now, after moving in! I wear many Chanel products, though this powder I never wore. I will look for it, since you recommended it! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Might not be the best option for oily skin lovelies but sounds like it'll be perfect for my dry skin. I have been using powder recently but only to set my under eye concealer. I could get away without using any but I have so many powders to finish.
