Blogging about makeup and skincare products over years taught me so many things about beauty products and not only about it. I thought, I would share with you a few things that I know right now, because of the blogging.
Do a research before buying a makeup or skincare product
This is so important to me. I can say, I almost never buy any beauty products without reading about it online first. Those days are gone in my life when I would just show up in a department store asking advice a beauty consultant and buy whatever they would advice. While there is nothing wrong getting advice from them, doing a little research online by myself will not hurt.
It's not only makeup products, that matter for having a perfect makeup
This is something, I would probably didn't know if not blogging. I have used any techniques to apply my makeup, from using fingers to brushes but after I got my first beauty blender, I realized, that I had wasted my years without having this little miracle to make my makeup looked perfect. So yes, I believe, it's not only what you put on your skin but also, how you apply the products on you face.
Know, when and where to buy
There was time in my life, when I would buy beauty products wherever and whenever I would get a chance __ like, if I was at the mall, near any beauty store, I would just walk in and buy whatever I needed at that moment, but not anymore.
When I pay over hundred dollars on makeup, I need to be rewarded haha. I mean, who doesn't love free gifts with purchase, or some great sale? So, if there is no emergency for me to get a particular product, I prefer to buy stuff during sale or Gift-with-purchase campaign.
P.S.
Last few weeks were so tough for me, my daughter got sick few times, after I thought everything from her "Pink Eye' to throat infection to allergy, was gone and I would have some time to spend on blogging or Instagraming , then I got sick, my throat was swollen, I could not eat, drink, talk, and I felt terrible.
I'm getting better now, and hopefully, I will be back with you guys here on the blog and also, on Instagram, that I completely abandoned last two weeks.
Back to subject, what have you learned as a blogger? Do you read the reviews about the products that you are going to buy? Share with me in the comment section below.
Wish you all a fabulous week ahead.

I actually don't mind buying without having researched a product beforehand, although now I do try to figure out what I want before I buy so I don't end up getting a ton of things I don't need! As a blogger, I've learned not just to get the cheapest item and look around for a brand I haven't tried yet.

Hope your daughter and you are getting better. It's so annoying to get sick. I personally suffered from mild acne and have since been very thorough on what products I need to have and can use. I would read reviews and check on the ingredients of each skincare products before buying them.

Thanks Nathalie.
DeleteHonest reviews have been my saving grace recently. While it's ok to seek advice on products from associates, some of them are not as knowledgeable. So kudos to you all beauty bloggers that keep us well informed. Hope your and your daughter feel better.

I've learned that some things aren't as hypes up to be (especially true for collab products) and you don't need to get yourself every beauty product just because it's about to release! Also I've been stepping away from the department store because the workers will do everything to can to get you to buy something even when you're unsure!

These tips are so wise! I always buy my mascara and eyebrow pencils ahead of time (before I run out) and wait until there is a free gift to go along with them.

These are all such great points. HOW to apply makeup is so much part of it! And I don't know how people can buy products without researching first, that must be so stressful! Though I do love trying new things so maybe that's part of it.
