Yes, Nina's Style Blog is five years old. It's been nothing but pleasure and excitement __  share my blogging journey with you all. But, I decided to finish this chapter in my blogging life, no, I didn't give up on blogging, I just moved to a new place www.ninakobi.com.
I know, I will loose some of my followers, but I'm ready to chalenge myself. Thanks for being so supportive last five years, and I hope, you will continue supporting me on my new journey.

How to get healthy, hydrated skin with Lexli skincare

 Every year, during Spring time, I struggle find right skincare products for my dry, sensitive skin that gets even drier after harsh winter weather and constant indoor heat. So, when I was offered to try out Lexli skincare , I was very excited. The reason for that is that Lexli skincare is quite unique because they use a base of organic, pharmaceutical-grade Aloe Vera instead of Water, as is used in most skin care products.

Why is Aloe good for the skin?

 I decided to try out Lexli Night moisturizer Aloe Vera Cream * for normal-to-dry and sensitive skin types. This is a luxurious cream that hydrates and softens skin while you sleep. This Night Moisturizer is particularly soothing for those with dry and sensitive skin, also beneficial for those with inflammatory skin conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema and rosacea.
If you have very dry skin, like I do, you can use it morning and evening to ensure optimal hydration and protection from moisture loss. I apply it after cleansing my skin, in the morning and in the evening, and the result is incredible _soft, smooth, hydrated skin. This cream absorbs quickly and is perfect under make up too.

LEXLI Night Moisturizer *

Another product I've been using is Lexli Moisture Intensifier Serum *. This serum starts with a soothing base of pure aloe vera that effectively calms irritation and redness while encouraging healing. Moisture Intensifier Serum can be used as an all-over treatment under moisturizer to maximize skin hydration or as a spot treatment for areas particularly prone to dryness. You can even use this serum after waxing to calm irritated skin.

I personally use it under my moisturizer all over on my face and neck and love how it keeps my dry skin moisturized.

Last but not least, I 've been suing Lexli AloeGlyC *. It's a face exfoliator like no other, because it's formulated with a base of organic, pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera and glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid and features a pH similar to that of a professional chemical peel but without the risk of burn or redness. Perfect face masks for dry skin

 It was not until last year, when I realized how useful a good face mask was on my dry, sensitive skin and I regretted, I didn't give it a try earlier. I feel like, face masks have been kind of underestimated in most of people's skin care routine, until recent years. But now it's clear that good face masks can keep our skin hydrated and overal, improve the complexion. Today, I want to share with you my three recent favorite face masks:

Josie Maran 'Whipped Mud Mask' Argan Hydrating and Detoxifying Treatment 

This antioxidant-packed hydrating and detoxifying whipped mud mask clarifies and refines while it nourishes and soothes for healthy, firmer-looking skin. 100% Pure Argan Oil infuses skin with essential nutrients while Moroccan Rhassoul Clay, formed from volcanic ashes of the Atlas mountains in Morocco, rejuvenates, detoxifies, and tones. 

 This Josie Maran 'Whipped Mud Mask' Argan Hydrating and Detoxifying Treatment comes in different color, depending on the scents. Mine is Sweet Citrus and smells, heavenly. I would like to get this mask with Vanilla Apricot scent or Juicy Mango, it is also available with Cucumber Aloe scent, but if you prefer without any scent, this mask comes unscented as well. 

This Josie Maran whipped mud mask doesn't contain harsh chemicals, it's vegan, Cruelty-free, Paraben-, Sulfate-, Phthalate-free, Synthetic Fragrance and Mineral oil free.

How to apply:

You should massage a generous layer onto cleansed, moist skin and leave on for 5-10 minutes, avoiding the delicate eye area. Remove with a damp cloth and rinse thoroughly with warm water. You will love how your skin will feel after that. 

Glamglow Gravitymud Firming Treatment Mask

This is actually my first peel off mask and I absolutely love it. It's a mud-based face mask designed to tighten the appearance of skin. You should apply an even layer to clean skin with fingers or a brush (full size comes with a brush for easy application) avoid the eyebrows and hairline. Leave on for 20 to 30 minutes. Once it's completely dried, gently peel off from the edges of the face. Rinse off any excess with warm water. It's very easy to peel off, and yo can immediate  results. 

I love how it tightens the skin and I feel like even pores become less visible. Also, it smells amazing. 

For best results, you should use twice a week.

Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask

This creamy, anti-aging, Violet-C Radiance Mask makes the skin very smooth and radiant. This formula features two types of Vitamin C: a water-soluble viatmin C derivative that absorbs quickly for an immediate glow and oil-soluble vitamin C derivative that remains in skin longer, providing antioxidant protection from UV damage for brighter, more even toned skin over time. 

A gentle 10 percent AHA complex of seven fruits removes debris and buildup of dead skin cells to visiblly improve skin texture and support the production of new skin cells. Tatcha's signature trio of Japanese anti-aging superfoods _ green tea, rice, and algae _ helps to restore a more youthful appearance. This mask is non-comedogenic, non-irritating, and cruelty-free. It's free of synthetic fragrances, Mineral Oils, Parabens, and Phthalates.

How to use it:

After cleansing, you should apply a generous, even layer to skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for about 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with warm water. You can use it two to three times per week.

Burberry 'My Burberry Black' Perfume review

 Before I got this Burberry 'My Burberry Black', my favorite perfume last two years had been Burberry  'My Burberry', and you can imagine, how excited I was when I opened my present from my husband and saw this gorgeous bottle of My Burberry Black.

I have always been a big fan of Burberry makeup and fragrances and My Burberry Black is no exception. There is something about Burberry fragrances that has that amazing luxe feel from the minute you spray them on yourself that I only find in Bottega Veneta fragrances; you will never detect any cheap, alcohol scent in them. 

Anyways, lets' talk about this Burberry My Burberry Black. This is a warm, floral and intimate fragrance that can be worn in chilly days and even better, for your next night out, it's sexy but not  overwhelming.

I like that My Burberry Black has a spicy scent but soft spicy, nothing annoying in it, with deep Amber Patchouli tones that can for sure make you stand out wherever you go. 

Some people might call this fragrance masculin but I would call it bold, it's a bold scent but not overwhelming. 

The bottle is almost same as My Burberry, just in a darker tone with the same cute ribon on the cap. Lasting power is amazing, you don't even need to re-apply it during a day or night.

So, if you are looking for a new signature, soft spicy scent with little bit of sweetness, then you will definitely be impressed by this Burberry fragrance. 

Rediscovering Lancome after years

It's been years since I last bought Lancome products and other day, when I found a Lancome promotional flyer in my mailbox, I remembered, there was time, I was obsessed with Lancome, so I decided to take advantage of their Gift-with-purchase campaigne and buy some of their new products. Those of you, who follows me on Instagram must have seen when I went to the mall and grab some Lancome goodies.

Lancome Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base: __ This mascara base is actually not new to me, I've been using it for years and always enjoyed wearing it because not only it creates great base for any mascara to make the lashes look fuller and longer, but also, the product itself lasts longer and doesnt get thick after using it for a few weeks.

Lancome Le Monochromatique multi-purpose powder: __ this is my first multi-purpose powder from Lancome. It comes in different shades. I chose the color Magique that is translucent pink holographic pearl highlighter. 

As the product description says, this is a buildable, cream-to-powder formula designed for eyes, cheeks, and lips to accentuate features with highlighting shades (like the one I chose) or subtle color. This product contains Vitamin E that helps soften skin. I like that it's free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil.

Belif Merry Merry Moisturizers set review

The cute packaging is to blame that I bought this Belif Merry Merry moisturizer set, few weeks ago,  so I want to share with you guys what I liked about this set and what I was disapointed about.

 The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb (50 mL)

Moisturizing Eye Bomb Mini (5 mL)

Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask Mini (10 mL)

The True Cream Aqua Bomb moisturizer

This is an ultra-lightweight, oil-free formula that is gel-cream consistency  and instantly absorbs into skin, cools and refreshes my dry skin.

As the product claims, it's a perfect solution for dryness, pores, dulness, and uneven texture. From my experience, I can say that it did nothing in terms of dulness, pores, and uneven texture, but what I like about this moisturizer is that it's lightweight, it absorbs quickly and hydrates my dry skin and is perfect under makeup.

Also, it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and doesn't contain harsh chemicals like Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, it's also free from mineral oils, Synthetic preservatives, dyes, fragrances and animal origin ingredients.

Moisturizing Eye Bomb

I have mixed feeling about this eye moisturizer. I like the texture of it that has cooling effect, it seamlessly blends into skin and is nice under makeup as well, but I have doubt, this Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb is the reason I got millia (two small bumps) under my eye. (For those of you who haven't heard of it: Milia are small, white bumps that appear on the skin. They are caused by keratin that's trapped underneath the surface of the skin.) So, I recently stopped using it.

Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask Mini

This Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mini didn't work for me __ I used once and after I noticed how dry my skin became, I haven't tried second time. Maybe, someone with oily skin would like it but it's not for my dry, sensitive skin.

So, even though, I enjoy the face moisturizer from this set, I will definitely  be more cautious about choosing any product from this brand in future.

The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia __ great place to go with kids in Philadelphia

 We visited Philladelphia right before Christmas and it was the great idea because not only I didn't have to hear how "bored" my daughter was at home, but we really enjoyed our time. 
We arrived at noon, checked in the hotel in downtown Philadelphia and then went to The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. During our visit, the museum was not crowdy at all, they didn't have their own parking so we had to find a parking garage nearby and park the car there.

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 

My 7 years old daughter loved almost every exhibit in the museum: the dioramas were very impressive __ these displays featured bears, mountain sheep, gorillas, antelopes, zebras and many others, often capturing dramatic moments. We had an opportunity to experience these magnificent animals up close.

Another exhibit we loved was Butterflies. When we walked in this exhibit, we thought we were in a tropical garden filled with colorful plants and live butterflies from Central and South America, Africa and Asia. 

As we learned, they have at the excibit from 60 to 150 butterflies every single day. These butterflies generally live for about two weeks, and every week, they get new butterflies from all around the world. 

During our visit, some of the butterflies were flying, some of them resting on the plants or floor, others __ were eating at food stations (those of you who follow me on Instagram must have seen them in my Insta Stories.)

We got a chance to see and touch a snake and also, an awl that was quite interesting. Dinosaur Hall was also fun but the best part of our visit for my daughter was Outside In excinbit where she got an opportunity to pet the cutest bunny ever.

So, if you to visit Philadelphia with kids, you may stop by at this museum, I'm sure your kids will love it too.

How to go back to healthy lifestyle after holidays

 How to go back to healthy lifestyle after holidays __ this is the question I always have in my mind after Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations because that's the only one-week-period when  I let myself eat whatever I have been craving for months and, honestly, I feel the happiest person on the planet eating that pistachio gelato, strawberry cheesecake, and hot chocolate brownies with melting vanilla ice-cream on top. 

BUT... 

It comes time when I have to pay for my indulges  because everything has its price, haha

And let me tell you, January is not the funny time for me because that's the time I have to go from cake/cheesecake/Ice-cream/chocolate directly to baby carrots, spinach and celery,  haha, and even writing these words in the same sentence makes me feel depressed...

Anyways, there are few things that I wanted to share with you, that usually help me to go back to track.

Get ready phsicologically

Number one thing, I do is that I get ready phsicologically for the transition to healthy lifestyle. I leave my holiday spirit behind me, and I get rid of all the holiday decorations from the rooms, including christmas tree, so, that way, I'm mentally ready to accept the fact that holidays are over , and so is my unhealthy eating routine.

Stop going to grocery stores

I usually don't go to any grocery store for about one week (I may go to a Farmers Market or other vegetable store where I know, I can't buy any unhealthy sweet snack). If I 'survive' without sweet for a week , that means I can go to regular grocery stores without hesitation because I'm mentally and phisicaly ready to stay away from sweets, even when I buy some dessert for my 7 years old daughter.

Go back to gym

Where else can I get more motivated than in gym? So, I always go back to gym right after holidays, to make sure that I will not want to keep snacking around with some cakes or chocolate, because gym makes me stay motivated even outside of the gym.

This always helps. Checking out fitness /healthy diet accounts is a must for me after holidays (well, checking them out other time doesn't hurt either, haha). It's so inspiring for me that I just want to throw away all unhealthy food/snack from fridge and run to the gym, haha.

Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum review

Warm, Sweet, Floral __ that's how I would describe this Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum in three words. As the label describes it , "this Eau de Parfum is a floral declaration of love. In the heart of the fragrance, the fresh, sensual beauty of the Grasse rose combines with the boldness of Damascus rose. They are woven with Calabrian bergamot, vivid rosewood from French Guiana, and pink pepper from Reunion Island"

Key notes of Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum:

Rosewood, Bergamot, Grasse Rose

Miss Dior Eau de Farfum opens up sharper than any other perfumes I own (but it's not as sharp and sweet as Lancome 'La Vie est Belle') , I smell sweet notes with the pink pepper and orange at the begining but settles into powdery roses and blossoms.

Honestly, It's surprising for me that I actually wear this perfume because it's quite sweet and floral for my taste but I really enjoy this scent.

This is not the perfume I would wear in the office or in hot and  humid summer days but it definitely warms up grey winter evenings.

I like that it lasts all day without reapplying it, and can we talk about how adorable the bottle of 'Miss Dior' is? __ really pretty.
